How to get from Maastricht Train Station to the Gouvernement aan de Maas?

By foot? It will take about 20-25 minutes.

By bike? It will take about 7 minutes. If you want to rent an OV-fiets (public transport bike) at the train station, you will need a personal OV-chipkaart (personal Dutch public transport card).

How to find the right entrance of Gouvernement aan de Maas?

If you come from the direction of the train station, you walk past the main entrance (named ‘’hoofdingang’’ in
Dutch) and walk over the bridge to the State entrance (named ‘’Stateningang’’ in Dutch).
Here, the big bronze door will be opened for the EPF-conference

Where to stay?

Maastricht will be busy during the weekend of the EPF conference due to other events taking place around the same time. Book your stay in time. For your convenience we have pre-booked several rooms in three hotels centrally located in Maastricht. These can be found here: https://preferredroomkit.com/epf-conference-maastricht-2026

Do you not mind waking up with a cup of coffee on the train? There is more (and often cheaper) hotel options in Geleen (15′ by train), Sittard (17′ by train) or Valkenburg (11′ by train) with frequent departures from early in the morning until late at night.

Where to eat?

On Friday, June 5 we have organised a walking dinner in the historic customs hall at the train station of Maastricht. Doors will open at 18:30 and dinner starts at 19:00. Dinner finishes at 21:00. Drinks are included. Make sure to tick the box ”joining Friday dinner” when you register for the conference.
